Ask Congress To Increase Annual Funding For Child Care
Now is the time to demand increased funding for child care.
Please see the email below from The National Association for Family Child Care asking for our participating to increase funding for child care. Helping to reach out to Congress will only take a few minutes, but the impact you have when speaking up for child care is powerful.
NAFCC Members and Friends,
Join us in calling on Congress to increase funding for Child Care. The COVID-19 pandemic made a weak, disjointed child care system crumble even further. Despite child care providers heroic efforts, parents still struggle to find accessible, affordable, quality child care. And many FCC programs are struggling or closing due to decades of low pay and a lack of respect regarding the critical nature of its work.
Right now, Congress is negotiating annual funding, and there is an opportunity to increase the amount for child care. To make it happen, Congress needs to hear from educators, families, and community members about the challenges we are facing and the difference that funding can make.
Our partners at Child Care Aware of America have made it easy to make a difference in under 10 minutes. Take action here.
