On behalf of the California Child Care Resource & Referral Network, we are pleased to invite you to participate in our upcoming Day at the Capitol 2026, taking place in Sacramento.
This is your time to shine! Our annual advocacy event brings together R&R agencies, lawmakers, and state administrators to give you an opportunity to share directly with change makers the daily Heart Work you do in your local communities. As R&Rs you serve as trusted messengers, community hubs, and first points of contact for families and child care providers. Your voices and lived experiences are powerful tools in policy advocacy. Please join us for an exciting event as we partner to lift up the needs of children, families, and providers across California. We hope to see you there!

How to prepare for Advocacy Day!
Scheduling Meetings:
The R&R Network will have capacity to schedule a number of meetings with target legislators (members of Appropriations, Women's Caucus, Latino Caucus, and Health and Human Services (HHS) committees.) Participants are highly encouraged to schedule their own meetings with their representatives to speak to your local issues and data.
To schedule a meeting with your representatives:
- Find your California state representatives here. Click on your representative's website and look for a "contact me" or "meeting request" page.
- Use our sample invite letter to fill out the request form.
- Once you’ve scheduled your meeting(s), please add them to our meeting tracker here so we can coordinate between R&Rs with shared representatives and to avoid duplication.
- Please reach out to lstewart@rrnetwork.org if you have any questions or need assistance with scheduling.
