Master’s degree in Quantitative Economics, with an interdisciplinary approach in health economics - San Francisco State University, Spring 2020
Joining the Network in April of 2025, Marne stepped into the role of Research Manager to connect data with research for advocacy and public policy analysis. Additionally, Marne will design and manage the Network’s research projects and procure grants for the Policy & Research Departments.
Marne previously worked as the Research Manager for the Preeclampsia Foundation, where she managed the Foundation’s self-reported patient registry, worked with leadership and maternal health researchers, and performed data analysis on quantitative and qualitative initiatives to improve outcomes from hypertensive disorders of pregnancy. Marne also worked at Genentech in Managed Care Customer Operations (2006-2010) and later as a Data Reporting and Automation Specialist applying advanced analytics and visualizations for real estate planning across the Genentech campus (2021-2022).
Her return to academia (2017-2020) after a seven-year labor market hiatus was twofold: the inspiration from the patients and physicians she served at Genentech and surviving postpartum preeclampsia. She is deeply passionate about leveraging data insights for advocacy, solving problems and building relationships.
Marne was a former professional ballet dancer, pilates instructor and ballet teacher for a variety of professional ballet schools. She lives with her family in the San Francisco Bay Area. Marne dedicates herself to many interests, including optimizing nutrition, family baseball management, healthcare podcasts, and advancements in R for data science. (R is a statistical programming tool that's uniquely equipped to handle data)
