Human Response Network, Trinity

I have worked for the Human Response Network (HRN) for 27 years, serving all of Trinity County—a large, rural region where it can take three hours to drive north to south and two hours east to west. Our main office is in Weaverville, the largest community in the county with about 3,200 residents, and we also operate a satellite office in Hayfork.

During my tenure at HRN, I have held multiple roles, including Preschool Teacher, School Age Child Care Teacher, Program Director for Childcare and Community Services, and, for the past six years, Executive Director. These experiences have provided me with a deep understanding of the needs of families and communities in rural areas.

I currently serve on the First 5 Board and have previously served on several other boards, including those focused on childcare and faith-based organizations. In these roles, I have held various volunteer positions and believe strongly in the importance of listening, doing research, and asking thoughtful questions to inform decision-making.

I am interested in serving as a Board Member of the R&R Network because I believe Resource and Referral services play a vital role in supporting families and strengthening communities across California. I am committed to bringing my experience, perspective, and passion for early childhood and family support to this role.
