I began my career at Kings Community Action Organization (KCAO) in 2007, serving the rural community of Kings County. As a Community Action agency, we work as a team to provide programs that empower residents to achieve self-sufficiency. KCAO offers a range of vital services, including Head Start, Child Care, Crisis Support, Services for the Unhoused Population, Home and Energy Assistance, Nutrition Education and Hunger Prevention Programs.

I hold a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and a master's degree in Organizational Leadership. Before joining KCAO, I taught preschool at a privately owned center and worked with the City of Lemoore’s Summer Day Camp Program. My first role at KCAO was as a Resource & Referral Child Care Trainer, where I conducted trainings and provided technical assistance to both licensed and exempt child care providers throughout Kings County.

In 2015, I was promoted to Child Care Assistance Program Director, a role I have proudly held for the past decade. In this position, I work closely with my team and community partners to strengthen early childhood education initiatives. I oversee a range of programs, including CalWORKs Stage 1, 2, and 3, Foster Bridge, CAPP, CRRP, CCIP, First 5 Kettleman City Family Resource Center, and the CalWORKs Home Visitation Program. Additionally, I serve as Chair of the Local Planning Child Care Council for Kings County, where I actively advocate for and advance early care and education issues. As a parent, I recognize that choosing quality child care is one of the most important decisions a family makes. Exploring available options ensures that children receive the care and support they need to thrive.
